Lakesurf Inflatable Repair Kit

If you have misplaced the repair kit that shipped with your Lakesurf inflatable, this kit has everything you need to patch a leak or remove a damaged valve.

Lakesurf inflatables come standard with repair patches. Adhesive is not included with Lakesurf inflatables due to shipping restrictions, but we will mail a complementary tube of adhesive upon request with a verified inflatable purchase. Repair Instructions

For best bond strength please follow the directions below carefully. Relative humidity must be less than 70%, preferably as low as 40%. The temperature should be 64°F to 77°F. Bond strength drops very rapidly with heat or high humidity. If necessary, perform the repair indoors in a airconditioned environment.

1. Clean, rinse, and dry the area that the patch will go over

2. Lay a generous amount of glue on both the area on the repair surface where the patch will cover, and on the patch itself.

3. Allow glue to become tacky to the touch, which usually takes 1-3 minutes depending on temperature and humidity

4. Apply another generous layer of glue on top of the previous layer, again on both the repair surface and the patch.

5. After you have finished applying the second layer, wait another 1-3 minutes, or until the glue becomes very tacky (think duct tape) to the touch.

6. Press the patch onto the repair surface, and press from the middle of the patch outward to make sure no bubbles form. Hold with pressure for 5 minutes. It is best if you find something heavy to set on it and allow it to cure for an additional 1-2 hours.

7. The repair should be safe to use after about 1 hour. Full strength is achieved after 24 hours.

Sometimes air can leak from the valve when debris becomes lodged on valve’s sealing surfaces. A few quick bursts of air from depressing the valve stem will typically remove any blockages. If an air leak persists, reach out to Lakesurf customer care for assistance by emailing info@lakesurf.com.
