PVC Inflatable Repair Glue

This PVC adhesive with MEK is perfect for making permanent repairs to any PVC inflatable, including all Lakesurf inflatables. For best bond strength please follow the directions below carefully. Relative humidity must be less than 70%, preferably as low as 40%. The temperature should be 64°F to 77°F. Bond strength drops very rapidly with heat or high humidity. If necessary, perform the repair indoors in a airconditioned environment.

Repair Instructions:

1. Clean, rinse, and dry the area that the patch will go over

2. Lay a generous amount of glue on both the area on the repair surface where the patch will cover, and on the patch itself.

3. Allow glue to become tacky to the touch, which usually takes 1-3 minutes depending on temperature and humidity

4. Apply another generous layer of glue on top of the previous layer, again on both the repair surface and the patch.

5. After you have finished applying the second layer, wait another 1-3 minutes, or until the glue becomes very tacky (think duct tape) to the touch.

6. Press the patch onto the repair surface, and press from the middle of the patch outward to make sure no bubbles form. Hold with pressure for 5 minutes. It is best if you find something heavy to set on it and allow it to cure for an additional 1-2 hours.

7. The repair should be safe to use after about 1 hour. Full strength is achieved after 24 hours.
